Idea

The kindergarten is located in an orchard close to the village centre on the “National Road”. The new kindergarten will be built for the Italian and German language groups together.

The individual teaching units, consisting of a group room and an alternative room, are designed as rectangular structures. These are arranged evenly along an opening spiral. Between these individual "fingers" are the cloakrooms and the entrances to the garden. The garden areas between the "fingers" are thematically organised and assigned to the individual group rooms. The entrance is arranged in such a way that it opens up the Italian kindergarten on its left side and the German kindergarten on its right.

The common courtyard, in the centre of the spiral, is the heart of the building and a meeting place for all the children.
